HOW TO USE OUR SOLAR CALCULATOR.

1. Type in  your postcode
2. Choose the angle of the propsed roof the Solar Panels are to be mounted on. (Most domestic properties are between 30 & 45 degrees)
3. Select your roof elevation direction - S for South, SE for South East etc. You can check your property direction on Google earth and check the compass on the top right hand side of the Google earth window.
4. Select Grid connected (This is requred for you to receive the feed in tariff payments)
5. Energy on site (Usually 50% used on site)
6.  Sell surplus energy  - YES
7. Target annual generation. e.g A 2kWp system will provide an annual generation of approx 1680kWh, 3kWp system will provide an annual generation of  - approx 2550kWh. Set this to your required annual generation in kWh to achieve a system size in  kWp. 
8. Modules are the solar panels themselves, select modules.
9. PRESS CALCULATE
10. YOU CAN NOW SEE A TYPICAL INSTALLED COST, BENEFITS OF RETURN, CO2 SAVINGS ETC.

HOW TO USE OUR WIND TURBINE CALCULATOR.

1. Type in  your postcode
2. Press CALCULATE (This sets your windspeed for your postcode location at 10m/s see the orange box) 
3. Set the turbine mounting hub height to 10mtrs
4. Set your average annual windspeed as per the orange box at 10m e.g (5.2m/s at 10m)
5. Set terrain to RURAL
6. Set mounting height above ridge to 0 (Only requjired for building mounted turbines)
7. Free standing turbine - set to YES
8. Percentage of Energy used on site (Usually 50% used on site)
9. PRESS CALCULATE
10. YOU CAN NOW SEE BENEFITS OF RETURN, ESTIMATED ELECTRICITY GENERATION & CO2 SAVINGS ETC.
